- It is SUPER difficult to find books where my daughter can see herself and the diversity within our family and community reflected within them. But man oh man did we strike GOLD with this book by Tasha Moore. We actually have another children’s book, the title of which I will not share because I don’t want to throw any shade or anything like that at the author or publisher, but it is about God making the whole world and all of the beauty within it. However the book features children from across the world EXCEPT for an unambiguous black child. It’s almost hilarious. Except its not because black children like ALL children need to see themselves and characters they will emulate in a positive light, ESPECIALLY early. It’s not anyone else’s responsibility to produce books that fit our needs, but I thank God for “I’m Royalty?” because it does! In THIS book, my daughter sees not only herself in the main character Princess Destin, a beautiful, imaginative little black girl, my daughter is mixed… but the OTHER characters are ALSO diverse… The teacher is black and the students are diverse. And there is an ethnic Jesus on the wall! Let’s GO Tasha Moore!!!!!!!! I also love that Princess Destin is sharing a message that our world NEEDS right now. She tells the other kids that she is ROYALTY because God loves her and chose her to be His own DAUGHTER through Jesus. And that Jesus has made her family with people throughout the whole world. Let’s GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She explains that not only is she family with people of every color, community, and nation, but that because of grace she has a secure home in Heaven. Furthermore she shares with the class that she is excited to grow up to be a woman of virtue and that God Himself will love and guide her all the way through, and that He’ll do the very same for them. The book concludes with a section in the back that defines the royal and biblical terms used and then closes with a prayer. It’s simple, diverse, biblical, and timely. If your family is like mine, I know this book will enrich your library and child’s imagination and she grows as God’s own princess as well. Thank you Tasha Moore! -Jazzion Cathcart (Children’s Book Review)
- I appreciate the accountability and motivation that Tasha Moore brings to her life coaching sessions. Tasha brings a maturity to the coaching table that adds great value to the process. She cares about her clients and approaches them with authenticity. Her questions are intuitive and probing and her style of communication is direct. Tasha’s enthusiasm and get-it-done attitude is infectious. She is incredibly skilled at asking the tough questions that help me to see things from different perspectives, and she then holds me accountable for achieving my goals. There were doors that God was wanting to open to His abundance in my life, but I first had to be obedient and do the work to allow those blessings to flow. Tasha is helping to see that. Each week, Tasha celebrates my accomplishments and helps me to push past my largely self-imposed obstacles of procrastination and perfectionism. Some of the many valuable lessons she has taught me include: You are not responsible for everyone. You are not created to work 24/7. Protect your time so you can do what God has called you to do. The assignment God has for you is not for you. It’s for others. Give birth to it! As you are faithful to what God has already given you, He will give you more. If you want to identify purpose and make the best use of it and If you want to fulfill God’s assignment on your life, I recommend you Coach with Tasha Moore. She guides with encouragement but also doesn’t sugar coat areas that need work. I know I am a work in progress, and I am so grateful to Tasha for helping me to walk in the purpose that God has created in me. -Rachel Hendrix (Coaching Review)
- I had the pleasure to have Tasha Moore present a message to my Leadership team. The message she brought to us was not only inspiring and thought provoking. The message exactly the right conversation that God inspired her to deliver; it was the right words, right thoughts, right purpose and it was fulfilling for our forward process to serve the community as we have been chosen to serve. -Sharmaine Haughton (Speaking Review)
